Logistics Specialist I

Raytheon IIS is seeking a candidate to perform a wide variety of tasks relating to the core functions of Logistics. The candidate will be expected to perform a wide variety of tasks relating to the incoming and outgoing of materials, merchandise or equipment. The primary focus of this position will be on outbound shipment processing and government selloff but duties can also include receiving and inventory/material control functions. The ability to perform manual and clerical duties that utilize computers for the preparation of materials for shipment with a heavy emphasis on SAP system processing and accuracy is expected. The ability to compute and reconcile freight rates and other charges for transportation services, trace shipments and provide tracking information to customers is expected. This position is also responsible for government and company property tracking and control throughout the shipping process. This individual will also participate in and/or conduct contract validations upon award and monitor performance throughout the contract lifecycle fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines and understands various contract types, CLIN/SLIN structure, equipment services, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares Material Inspection Receiving Reports, submits to Wide Area Workflow, can work directly with the customer or customer representatives and maintain historical information. Controls the flow of goods, services, and information from origin through delivery in order to meet customer requirements. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, warehouse operations, and related functions. Builds relationships with customers through logistics initiatives. The candidate will be required to process exports in compliance with dual use and defense articles and services under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR), OFAC-Office of Foreign Assets Control Regulations, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms. The individual may also assist in developing and implementing operating procedures and best practices to ensure adequate export control levels for Logistics & Asset Management as well as participate in compliance audits. This individual will perform a variety of planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting tasks in support of contractual and customer required delivery dates. Some coordination and monitoring of workflow, assisting in scheduling, and prioritizing activities in assigned area will be required. The individual will be expected to work from delivery schedules, check and verify data within multiple software systems, identify errors, and collaborate with various internal customers to reconcile those errors. The ability to analyze and reconcile systematic data or records, determine and communicate impacts to affected individuals or program schedules as well as initiate and take corrective action when necessary is another requirement for this position. The creation and flow of daily reports and summaries is required. The employee should be able to identify and draw attention to important items, actual or potential problems, and assist in developing solutions. The individual shall check for work accuracy and may assist in directing work, assigning, or outlining tasks.

Required Skills:
• 1 year relevant experience in Supply Chain Logistics operations.
• Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptive to learning new job responsibilities and tasks within the Logistics & Asset functions.
• Demonstrated ability to perform research, execute transactions and track material in databases such as Prism, Apex, SAP, PIEE, Uniformed Property System or similar tools.
• Proven ability to work accurately in a fast-paced and multi-tasking work environment.
• Demonstrated ability to interface in a confident manner to a wide variety of internal and external customers, peers and management in order to deliver resolution in assigned areas.
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel formulas and VLOOKUP’s.
• Above average keyboarding skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn and utilize new software.

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of Supply Chain Logistics practices.
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Working knowledge of shipping operations, LTL, FTL, Small Parcel
• Knowledge of Military Packaging Standards & ASTM Standards
• Hazardous Materials certification for 49 CFR, IATA & IMDG
• Expert knowledge of Government DoD contracts.
• Working knowledge of DLA-PIEE, Wide Area Workflow & IUID Registry

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree + 1 year experience (4+ years of relevant experience may supplement degree)
