Logistics Provisioner

Job Description

CACI is seeking a Logistics Provisioner to support the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team at Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), Bath Detachment San Diego located at NASSCO Shipyard in San Diego, CA during the acquisition, construction, and delivery of the Military Sealift Command T-AO 205 John Lewis Class Fleet Replenishment Oiler.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Monitor the status of the Shipbuilder's Logistics Support Information (LSI) package submissions including the review, analysis and comments on the LSI package
  • Assist in the review and analysis of configuration documentation such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for logistics impact
  • Review and analyze the shipbuilder’s purchase orders, purchase specifications, and purchase order index for logistics impacts
  • Review the Shipbuilder’s provisioning information loaded into Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) database
  • Perform equipment sight validations and reconcile findings with the configuration database
  • Research and analyze proposed Allowance Change Requests (ACRs) for impacts to logistics products
  • Participate in shipboard support needs such as: Item Unique Identification (IUID) validation efforts, Equipment Validations and Load-Out requirements
  • Monitor the procurement and receipt of spare parts by the shipbuilder
  • Job entails a mix of work in an office environment, onboard ship, in shipyard areas of construction, and/or the warehouse
  • Monitor and review shipbuilder DRL deliveries in the PMS325 PMSES database
  • Other duties as assigned

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Acquisition Logistics, technical, and in-depth operational knowledge in Military Sealift Command (MSC) policies and procedures
  • Ability to fully understand, and effectively use source documents: engineering drawings, change orders, BoMs, DLA drawings, OEM/MFG vendor drawings
  • Experience with databases such as: Configuration Data Manager Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Technical Documentation Management Information System (TDMIS), Ship Configuration Logistics Information Program (SHIPCLIP) and Material and Equipment Real-time Logistics Information Network (MERLIN)
  • Aptitude to quickly learn, fully understand, and effectively use: OEM/MFG vendor websites, Haystack/HIS, Logiquest and NSN research tools
  • High level of proficiency and experience with: MS office software products – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Adobe
  • Possess active Secret security clearance
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills
  • Supportive personality that fosters good client relation and team cohesion
