Logistics Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Develop and implement logistics plans that may affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to enhance product flow. Provide analytical support for the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory, and analyze requirements to develop strategies to achieve preferred delivery times and order fill rates. Coordinate logistics activities with internal and external customers, review progress, and evaluate results. Interpret and apply organization policy, recommend changes in procedures, and operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. Support the program office director of logistics, the product support manager, the logistics and platforms division chief, deputy assistant program manager for FMS logistics, and the third-party sales chief in support of the program office in the planning, development, and fielding of logistics support packages for FMS customer platforms, determine and refine the best logistics support options, retrofit planning options, and develop plans and recommendations to assist each customer to meet their needs and requirements. Validate ILS requirements and implement logistics support plans to meet requirements of related FMS platforms and customers.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience in working with logistics programs, performing the Logistics Elements, and supporting Department of the Navy, Air Force, or Army projects, including performing operational or technical logistics work

-Experience with the analysis, preparation, and presentation of data to leadership

-Experience with tracking and analyzing various vendor production status reports and conducting investigations to comprehend issues that may arise during production type projects

-Experience with the preparation of technical or trade logistics studies to develop cost effective approaches for providing the required logistics support to deployed systems and equipment

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED and 15+ years of experience with military logistics or BA or BS degree and 12 years of experience with military logistics

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with two or more of the following areas: program execution oversight, analytical and problem solving related to logistical issues, or software defined radio or similar

-Experience with maintaining a tracker for production and depot type programs via Microsoft products

-Experience in collaborating and coordinating with a cross-matrix organization to ensure contract deliverables are adequately reviewed from a total logistics support perspective and approved in accordance with contract requirements

-Experience in working with various military services to validate ILS requirements and implement logistics support plans to meet requirements

-Experience with gathering technical information, calculating and analyzing data, and presenting logistics metrics for vendor’s and field Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability data via Microsoft products

-Experience with tracking squadron deployments and aircraft deliveries to ensure deliveries of products, as required

-Experience with assessing and presenting production issues and challenges and identifying and recommending solutions to leadership

-Experience with assessing adherence to focused logistics requirements for rapid crisis response and tracking and shifting assets in route and a tailored logistics support package

-Experience with evaluating ILS impacts in CM documentation and engineering change proposals

-Experience with assisting efforts to manage and provide oversight of support equipment development

-Ability to comprehend and apply reliability, maintainability, and logistics requirements as documented in USC Title 10, DoDI 5000.02, DoDD 5000.01, and NAVINST 5000.2

-Defense Acquisition University Logistics Level III or equivalent Certification
