Key Role:
Join a team of engineers that are staging and deploying an enterprise Voice over IP (VoIP) solution for the DoD. Develop and implement logistics plans for shipping, receiving, inventory, and disposal of telecommunications, network, and infrastructure components. Analyze failure modes and Army logistics processes to develop a comprehensive sparing policy. Maintain appropriate records and prepare transfer documents and reports. Coordinate logistics activities with site managers and external customers. Work with minimal supervision under the general direction of the project manager.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience with inventory management control
-Experience in procurement and acquisition, including how to read a contract, research pricing and availability of material, communicate and coordinate with vendors, obtain quotes in a timely manner, update all procurement documentation, manage the procurement status, and provide the PM with regular procurement reports
-Knowledge of shipping material using a freight forwarder, including packing and shipping material to nationwide locations and maintaining a complete inventory of shipments, complete DD1149s, and airway bills
-Ability to coordinate and communicate with a geographically dispersed team effectively
-Secret clearance required
-BA or BS degree or 5+ years of experience with logistics and acquisition
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with the Army CHESS procurement system
-Experience with network and telecommunications material receipt and inspection
-Experience with the management of controlled government assets, including DoD GPS receivers
-Knowledge of IUID equipment marking requirements
-Knowledge of the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for HAZMAT material
-Possession of excellent technical writing skills
