Responsibilities
Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a Local Area Nuclear Material Accountability Software (LANMAS) Database Administrator to join the Safeguards Team. LANMAS is the MC&A software utilized throughout the DOE complex. It is a fully functioning accountability software package for MC&A that addresses the tracking and reporting of nuclear material under the control of BEA, FLUOR and STI. The accountability system is INL's official record of all nuclear materials (NM) which are accountable for purposes of reporting to the DOE and meets the requirements as stated in the DOE orders. The LANMAS database engine is a Structured Query Language (SQL) Server. The database administrator controls user access to the database, ensure configurations properly address separation of duty requirements and on need to know requirements. The administrator also ensures all software updates are properly added and implemented.

Serve as a project leader/liaison for the INL for the Savannah River (SRS) LANMAS committee and represent the INL on the steering committee for future LANMAS revisions. Participate in the LANMAS Modernization Committee and advise Safeguards Management and staff of upcoming changes or implementation plans needed as LANMAS migrates to new versions. Assist users in researching information through the development of SQL queries.

Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and/or Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field plus 5 years relevant Safeguards computer and/or classification experience.

Relevant experience includes: Computing background experience with secure systems, data bases and networks. Experience in secure network enterprise systems and applications. Experience with secure application troubleshooting. Experience with Material Control & Accountability (MC&A) software.

Special Requirements and/or Training:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
