Description
SAIC is seeking a Linux Information Systems Architects. We provide modern Configuration Management (CM) platforms and CM focused services to reduce IT complexity through automated frameworks and repeatable processes. The position will support Enterprise Linux server capabilities and services for all of corporately supported networks.
On any given day, you may be called upon to:
•Provide systems administration support for Linux servers that host critical applications and services.
•Support physical and virtual Linux systems and provide configuration and patch management.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
•Bachelor's degree and two years or more of professional experience in relevant discipline, or equivalent or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
•3-5 years' experience providing Unix/Linux Server system administration.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
Desired Skills:
•Active DOE Q/L level security clearance.
•Familiarity with Red Hat Linux OS
•Familiarity with application, web, and database workloads on Unix/Linux platforms
•Familiarity with configuration management/automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, etc.
•Familiarity with patch management tools such as Red Hat Satellite
•Experience scripting (Shell, BASH, other)
•Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware
•Strong analytical and organizational skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
•Demonstrated experience in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a constantly changing environment
