Linux Systems Administrator

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Become an integral part of a diverse team in the Mission, Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (MCIS) Group.  Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission oriented CNO Developer  in the Hanover, Maryland  area, with strong Customer relationships.  At ManTech, you will help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

 
The Security Solutions Division provides cyber solutions to a wide range of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. This division consists of a team of technical leaders that deliver advanced technical solutions to government organizations.  Our customers have high standards, are technically adept, and use our products daily to support their mission of protecting national security. Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Senior Systems Administrator you will perform and lead system administration functions for Linux-based machines and provide system support for a large scale network. Must Be a Self-starter with a background in VMWare, Hardware, Networking, Unix/Linux systems administration and configuration.  Details of position below:

Responsibilities:
Perform Linux administration for modern flavors of Linux (mainly CentOS)
Create and harden custom linux images
Support NIS/LDAP authentication environments
DNS, DHCP, NFS, automounting and other Linux server support
Patching and remediation of Linux systems
Management and operation of VMware vSphere suite of products
Netapp configuration and administration
vSphere VM creation, backup, restoration and upgrades
vSphere/ESXi patching and maintenance
Syslog server configuration and maintenance
Configure TLS on web servers and applications
Install and configure server certificates and PKI authentication
Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile all type of COTS/GOTS software
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems
Make recommendations for purchases
Develop and implement enterprise backup/recover strategies
Configure and maintain seamless NFS/CIFS access to home directories and shares

Desired skills:

Prefer security+
Hardening Linux systems
Nessus scans and remediation
SSL, PKI and TLS
Bash, Perl or python scripting
Active Directory - Windows Server 2003/2008
Niagara Files
McAfee EPO
FOSS monitoring and metrics tool suites
Net Backup and NetApp SMVI backup
Cisco UCS platforms
Solid troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Patching, backups, software installation and maintenance


Desired experience:
• 10 years related experience

Clearance Requirements:
• TS/SCI w/Poly


Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience.
