Level II UT Certified NDT Technician 2

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has a current opening for a NDT UT Tech Level II to support our El Segundo facilities.

The selected Certified Level II Non-Destructive Test Technician will be required to provide Program support through the execution of examinations on Aerospace hardware in accordance with NAS410 and Program specific requirements.

The candidate shall be:

· proficient in the use and application of technical standards, principles, theories and techniques to provide Inspections on Graphite Composite hardware.

· This person shall have a thorough understanding Non-Destructive Inspection techniques and theories in UT, RT and/or ET.

The chosen candidate will need to work closely with a mutli-functional team to support day to day program activities to meet customer needs.

This individual must be able to work independently to determine and develop solutions and communicate those solutions through strong written and verbal communication skills.

The requirements of the role include 4-6 years experience in NDT Testing in an aerospace environment, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

The candidate MUST have a Level II NDT UT certification in accordance with NAS410.

It would be preferred that the candidate has experience working with aircraft composite structures and already holds an active secret clearance.

Travel may be required.


Basic Qualifications:
  • 4 years experience in NDT Testing in an aerospace environment.
  • AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Level II NDT UT Certification in Accordance with NAS410

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with aircraft composite structures.
  • Holds an active Secret Clearance.
