Lead Test Engineer

Job Description

CACI is seeking a Lead Test Engineer to support a large DON BCAT 1 COTS implementation program. You will be responsible for developing the testing strategy and determining the optimal approach to test complex products or solutions assuring compliance with appropriate applications, policies, and procedures.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Test program planning, management, execution, and reporting
  • Requirements verification and validation
  • Software development review
  • Write, maintain, and execute manual and automated test standards to test information technology products, equipment, and systems.
  • Perform unit, functional, or system level test of COTs software.
  • Design test procedures and provide technical expertise on specific products, operating systems, and specialized environments.
  • Configure hardware and operating environments as needed to complete assigned testing.
  • Participate in the development of test environments using test automation tools and agile methods

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the legacy systems supporting the maritime maintenance ashore lifecycle
  • Experience with DoD/DoN acquisition, budgeting, and investment management policies, guides, and regulations.
  • Experience with Department of Defense Enterprise Architecture Framework (DODAF).
  • Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) expertise, with emphasis on the guidance issued by the DoD Deputy Chief Management Officer (DCMO).
  • Experience with Software languages, applications, operating systems, frameworks, integrated data environments and other expertise.
  • Experience with Software/Systems Engineering using Agile methodologies, with the ability to tailor to a specific systems engineering process and software development tools.
  • Experience with PMO-IT SDLC tools. (Serena Business Manager, Serena Dimensions, IBM Rhapsody, IBM DOORS, and HP Application Life Cycle Management (ALM), Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Unified Functional Testing (UFT)) Database Programming – schema design, architecture, performance tuning, SQL scripting, database consolidation, database migration, system backups and database admin.
  • Experience with Application Test and Evaluation, particularly unit testing and integration testing.
  • Modification/maintenance/installation/integration of an interfaced enterprise solution of GOTS software products.
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance – DoD/DoN IA requirements and industry best practices.
  • Secret Clearance is required

These Qualification Would be Nice to Have:

  • Three (3) years of professional experience as a least tester/testing manager
  • A BA/BS from an accredited institution
