Lead Network Engineer

In this role you will:

Lead Network Engineer will provide technical direction for the conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization of network and security systems for an accredited, unclassified DoD network supporting up to 3000 global users.

Job Description: 

The Lead Network engineer will ensure IDSs/IPSs and firewalls are configured in support of network security policies, ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of network enterprise, perform security gap analysis to enhance network security and maintain overall system resilience.  Manage team to ensure adherence to quality standards, providing mission critical support to maintain optimal network uptime and reviewing architectural deliverables.  Provide SME guidance in the operations of a network infrastructure across a wide range of network facilities, supporting physical media, protocol stacks, routers, bridges, gateways, switches, and related software and hardware, and network management components.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • A Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) certification is highly preferable.
  • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
  • Experience developing infrastructure and operational requirements in all phases of the system development life cycle.
  • Experience in network and network security design and manages the network enterprise architecture.
  • Experience in designing and deploying network hardware, systems, and software upgrades.
  • Experience in engineering and managing the security of physical, virtual, and cloud networks.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials and communicating with other Government contractors.
  • Active Top Secret clearance, SCI Eligible.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience developing configuration management processes that support provisioning, tracking, monitoring project related equipment.
  • Experience in engineering and architecting multiple-classification IT systems and services.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed team environment and support multiple different efforts as needed.
  • Desire to learn new technologies and tools and willing to share your experience with the team.

Security Clearance:

  • Candidates must posses a minimum Top Secret level clearance and be eligible to obtain an SCI level.
