Lead Logistics Analyst - Navy Program

SAIC anticipates hiring a Lead Logistics Analyst for Navy Programs in Washington DC.  This job is being posted contingent on award of contract. 

The Lead Logistics Analyst will provide senior level support to NAVSEA. This office is responsible for providing timely, affordable, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) products and services (from acquisition through disposal) in support of all in-service, non-nuclear surface ships; operational readiness requirements; and new construction programs.
Logistics support this team provides includes, but is not limited to, support with: 
  • Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) management
  • Government Property (GP) management
  • Maintenance and Modernization
  • Supply Support
  • Technical Design Interface
  • Facilities Management
  • Computer/Web-Based Resources
  • Support and Test Equipment
  • Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T)
  • Technical Data
  • Total Ownership Cost (TOC)
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Controlling the flow of raw and finished goods, services, and information between point of origin through receipt at the manufacturing site, through to customer placement in order to meet customer or manufacturing requirements.
  • Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions. 
  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. 
  • Building relationships with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers through the resolution of delivery issues. 
  • Integrate market intelligence from operating entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuously improve competitive position.


Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience
  • 20 years of experience in the Navy or supporting the Navy
  • 15 years of experience in Logistics supporting in-service Navy ships and new construction programs at NAVSEA
  • 5 years of experience working in a program office or PEO at a Navy Systems Command
  • DAWIA Level III qualification (or similar civilian certification) in Life Cycle Logistics, Production, Quality and Manufacturing, or Program Management
  • Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
