Joint (J35) Planning and Integration Support Analyst, #4167

LinQuest Corporation is seeking a Joint (J35) Planning and Integration Support Analyst to join our team at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs. The highly skilled and motivated SME will join a high-performance team to establish and develop all things involving the US Space Command (USSPACECOM) J35 Integrated Plans Branch.

Responsibilities

  • Function as Action Officer on the J35 Staff as the government establishes and transitions to U.S. Space Command
  • Write and develop orders, plans, and Operational Instructions
  • Develop Acceptable Levels of Risk (ALR) concepts
  • Facilitate and complete the development of Adversary Mission Plans (AMPs)
  • Develop strategy for moving SATCOM enterprise from USSTRATCOM to USSPACECOM to include incorporation of a J36 Directorate and the SATCOM Integrating Operations Environment (SIOE) concept
  • Plan for the follow-on absorption of the DISA commercial SATCOM enterprise
  • Support routing of operational documents and orders to include preparation of routing packets
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness, and transmit signed/approved documents to complete the routing process
  • Recommend/advise processes and procedures to streamline business activities/efforts internally and externally within the Branch
  • Generate and complete action taskers and requests for information
  • Adjudicate and synchronize USSPACECOM activities and operations with subordinate, Combatant Commands, Joint Staff and other organizations
  • Support operational gap analysis to inform resourcing efforts
  • Support the J35 in documenting command and control authorities to ensure USSPACECOM is ready to conduct joint space operations to protect and defend the Space JOA and deliver assured theater and global effects in accordance with CDRUSSTRATCOM intent and national and CCDR objectives
  • Assist with editing, creating, processing, and coordinating the composition of complex text and graphics products for hardcopy and electronic publication/dissemination associated with USSPACECOM
  • Assist with editing, proofreading, formatting, inserting graphics, and providing quality control for the publication of analytic products; ensuring consistency in organization, style, and readability across all products; coordinating with the primary author(s) of products to obtain additional or clarifying information or resolve issues from the editing, proofreading, formatting, and graphics placement process; and ensuring mutual agreement with primary author(s) on the final product
  • Assist with the maintenance of the publications database to track the status of publications in progress and to record & retrieve all completed publications
  • Assist with the preparation of publications for government review prior to electronic dissemination (xml conversion & preparation of files for posting)
  • Advising decision makers on integration and employment of military capabilities
  • Facilitating operational agility of military forces to transition between levels of war, geographic areas, missions, functions and warfighting domains
  • Coordinating collaborative planning of Air Force capabilities
  • Operational level command & control processes across warfighting domains
  • Delivering resilient, sustainable command & control of available forces and capabilities in contested battlespace

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher required
  • 10+ years of work experience related to the job description
  • Demonstrated writing, reviewing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Demonstrated competence in formatting publications for hard copy and electronic publication
  • Previous planning experience
  • Current/relevant space/joint space operations knowledge and background
  • Previous experience on a CCMD, MAJCOM or HHQ staff required
  • Ability to identify and resolve challenges at a strategic level
  • Ability to brief/interactive with senior (GO/FLAG) level officer and senior civilians
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position

 

 Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Action Officer on a J35 Staff, HHQ or CCMD staff desired
  • Previous Special Technical Operations (STO) Chief, or planner experience is highly desired
  • Desired completion of Joint Air Operations Command and Control Course (JAOC2C) or Joint Air Operations Planning Course (JAOPC) or equivalent
  • Desired completion of any contingency operations or aerospace expeditionary force (AEF) temporary duty (TDY) tour at an AOC (combined or joint) or 6 months of assignment to an AOC entity (combined or joint); or participation in large scale theater air operations or exercises
  • Experience with a Space Operations background in Satellite Communications, Space Control, Missile Warning, and/or Space Situational Awareness with 10-20 years of experience and previous space planning experience at operational/theater level (e.g. combatant command, joint/combined task force) highly desired
  • Completion of JPME I is highly desired, and JPME II is preferred
