Job Description:

The NISC III program within the Leidos Civil group is seeking a Project Manager to collaborate with various IT Team members and related projects and programs for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA ). In this role you will assist team members with day to day project activities and track activities, assist Task order manager and other team members with documentation, status reports, and activity reports. Additionally, you will be will be responsible for all administrative efforts, working directly with the Software manager for project financials and administrative tasks. Specific duties for the position include: Action Item Tracking and Reporting. Organize and write technical documentation with guidance and input from engineers. Maintain a list of resource assignments across subtasks. Maintain a list of external FAA program engagements including technical and management points of contact for each engagement. Manage service desk queues by making initial contact with the customer, track issue aging, track issue closure, verify closure with the customer. Work directly with the FAA manager and government technical interface to assign work tasks through JIRA. Write weekly and monthly status report deliverables. Prepare cost reports from JIRA timesheet and labor hour recording. Prepare job descriptions and requisition templates for new positions. Maintain a shared team calendar with staff leave and other out of office periods. Define, build, and track major subtask project schedules. Identify and raise issues with the customer and task order leadership that may cause project delays or cost overruns. Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) revisions for new task orders or task order revision based upon customer Statement of Objectives or work proposals. Work with the FAA to identify new positions, staffing, and technical resource acquisition based upon new requirements. Attend regular status meetings with the team and customer representatives.

Required Qualifications:

Must have a BA degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical writing skills and experience. Ability to work directly with customers to understand needs, requirements, and objectives. Organization Skills: Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Must be able to prioritize workload of the position and team members in accordance with customer direction. Must have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to build and track a project schedule. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with FAA orders and guidelines.

Desired Qualifications

Experience managing Agile projects. Experience  with JIRA for issue tracking, timesheet reporting, and report generation. Experience managing a team and team workloads based on resource capacity and customer prioritization. Experience with Microsoft project or another project scheduling tool. PMP certification is desirable
