CACI is currently looking for outstanding IT candidates to join our TSA IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT) team in the National Capital Region (NCR) and throughout the United States. CACI will provide a variety of IT services through IMPACT including cyber security, identity and access management, risk management, cloud integration and engineering, field support services, service desk, application deployment and optimization, and operations center support services.   CACI will support TSA in both classified and unclassified IT operational environments increasing availability and security for a variety of applications and systems. IMPACT services will integrate with the broader DHS mission and enhance existing Department-wide IT capabilities.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The IT Manager shall provide technical and management oversight to a team of Tier 2/Tier 3 IT professionals. This individual is responsible for ensuring that enterprise IT engineering meets all customer obligations to include incident and problem management functions in the customer’s production environment. They are expected to drive resolution of high-severity outages and provide problem resolution for complex Infrastructure issues.

More About the Role:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage and network devices, networks, network cabling and other related equipment, devices, and systems
  • Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of servers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software
  • Investigate problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions. Guide complex problems from identification to resolution across different departments, employees and/or systems.
  • Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations
  • Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures
  • Establish and perform maintenance programs following company, industry and vendor standards
  • Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability
  • Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information being processed, stored, accessed or transmitted on the network
  • Document network problems and resolutions for future reference
  • Participates in and contributes to the planning and execution of business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities
  • Provides technical expertise in researching, identifying, evaluating, recommending and/or developing information security systems, controls, methods, techniques and models
  • Contributes to the organization, processes, teams and product in a significant manner
  • Adheres to organizational processes and procedures
  • Team Lead, IT Infrastructure Engineer works independently, and as a team member
  • Exhibits initiative and drive to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Displays leadership qualities, takes ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Completes special projects or other duties as assigned
  • Contributes positively to working environment


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required
  • An active Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work

The ideal IT Manager will possess expert practical knowledge in at least four or more of the following areas:

  • TCP/IP-based LANs, iSCSI and Fibre Channel SANs, VPNs
  • Core Cisco networking
  • Multi-zone network architectures
  • Cisco UCS servers, Nexxus switches, ASA firewalls and routers
  • Dell servers
  • NetApp storage and ONTAP OS
  • Current versions of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems
  • Current Red Hat/CentOS and Ubuntu Linux operating systems
  • VMware vSphere
  • Systems monitoring and management in a high-availability data center environment.
  • Federal Information Technology standards, guidelines, requirements and programs such as NIST, DISA and DIACAP/RMF.
  • Vulnerability management programs and patch management
  • Exchange and Active Directory
  • Able to think independently to resolve complex system issues.
  • Able to provide technical and professional leadership, guidance, and training to others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Relevant DHS focused experience
  • Active DoD Security Clearance preferred, but not required
