Inventory Management and Property Control - Senior - TS/SCI with Polygraph

Job Description

Performs clerical and manual tasks to maintain an inventory of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.

- Analyze Excel files for data accuracy, completeness, and detail.
- Use Excel tools such as V-look-up and pivot tables to create reports.
- Compare current reports against historical records.
- Assist in the performance of yearly inventories of Accountable Property (AP).
- Assist to determine deficiences in processes in the WMA area.
- Provide assistance/support to customers to reconcile discrepancies.
- Research missing Accountable Property (AP) and communicating statuses to senior management.
- Ensure items are accurately recorded as accountable or non-accountable according to Sponsor regulations.
- Update AP records to reflect correct accountability, once known.
- Update Sponsor's accounting and property databases to align records, to include updating the correct Master Item Description and relevant requirement procurement data.
- Research IG Audit findings for Accountable Property and update Sponsor's dbases accordingly.
- Create Report of Survey's when necessary with information obtained during research.
- Perform other research and data cleansing support as result of audit findings.
- Analyze accountable property data statistics to determine if there are any trends to assist with research of missing equipment.
- Perform Asset Management trending and forecasting.
- Assist in the oversight of identifying accountable property.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, in the event necessary during physical inventory.

1. Performs clerical and manual duties in material areas such as receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.


2. Maintains established inventory levels by regularly checking shelves and preparing purchase orders.


3. Stocks vendor deliveries in warehouse or supply room and checks that deliveries conform to purchase orders as to quality and quantity.


4. Maintains a clean, organized warehouse or supply room.


5. Maintains a supply management database, and generates various reports as assigned.


6. Prepares and maintains related documentation.


7. Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced Supply Technicians.


8. Utilizes small hand tools, scales, and may operate material handling equipment such as fork lifts, pallet handlers, and hand trucks.


9. Uses online resources as needed for parts/equipment technical research, data updates, and related communications.


10. Recommends process improvements.


11. May serve as a team leader


12. Participates in special projects as required.


Requires a High School Diploma or GED.


5-8 years of related inventory management experience.
