INTELLIGENCE ANALYST I

Provides intelligence analysis support services that addresses both current and emerging national security challenges. Requirements may include National-Level and FBI focused intelligence
analyses; intelligence product planning, management, and implementation; intelligence support for rapid response crisis actions; and support for intelligence analysis training. 

Search for and analyze intelligence on visa applicants.  
Vet visa applicants via various database checks and evaluate applicants for any derogatory information.    
Selects, abstracts, or excerpts data from
specific sources and compiles them; ?
Evaluates and makes preliminary analyses of raw
intelligence data in items of such factors as ?adequacy of detail and coverage;
Maintains files of raw or abstracted data; ?
Provides services that seek, capture, consolidate, and synthesize locally relevant data to create and maintain baseline domain awareness for the FBI’s area of responsibility, including observed and potential threat components, indicators, vulnerabilities, and domain intelligence gaps; ?
Develops and maintains source identification products; 
Receives and analyzes information assessing office collection capabilities against the FBI’s priority criminal and national security threats, indicators and/or gaps. ?
Navigate Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel). 
Navigate within classified and open source databases. 
Evaluate incoming reports and information. 
Identify relevant data sources to clarify or corroborate investigative or operational intelligence community initiatives. 
Access information from classified and open source databases. 
Analyze and interpret information from a variety of classified and open source databases. 
Evaluate information using good judgment and decision making. 
Extract and analyze precise and exact information and details obtained from observation and research. 
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, Associates acceptable with additional years of experience
Experience: 1-10 years’ experience as an intelligence analyst. 
Experience supporting the FBI is highly desirable.

Demonstrate oral communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team environment.

Demonstrate written communication skills sufficient to explain actions taken and how recommendations were derived. 


Knowledge base in one or more of the following disciplines: counterintelligence; counterterrorism/national security; physical sciences (chemistry, biology, microbiology); engineering (aerospace, biomedical, chemical, electrical, nuclear); computer engineering or computer science; financial security and international banking; analytical studies with special emphasis in denial and deception; in strategic and predictive analysis, forecasting and modeling; and in crime mapping and analysis; telecommunication; criminal justice; cyber; political science; foreign culture studies; accounting, statistics; international relations; and/or mathematics.

WORK SCHEDULE: Eight hour shift, Monday through Friday, between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
