Intel Security Operations Specialist


Report To: Deputy Program Manager – Security (DPM-S)

PAE is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an INTEL/SOC Specialist. This individual will be responsible for directing the Special Operations Center, conducting and coordinating intelligence analyses and preparing written reports and assessments, and managing the tracking and monitoring of all security movements for INL personnel. Potential applicants must be willing to live and work in Kabul, Afghanistan for the period of performance. The duties and responsibilities listed herein are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.


  • Manage the daily operations of one or more Special Operations Centers, to include video surveillance and communications monitoring, in support of mobile and static security operations across several sites.
  • Coordinate and liaise security matters with the Regional Security Officer (RSO), INL management staff and the COR in Kabul, Afghanistan.
  • Provide intelligence and threat briefings as required.
  • Coordinate intelligence and operations support with the Mobile Security Manager, the Static Security Manager, and the Intelligence Security Manager.
  • Monitor and advise on threat information that may impact operations and movement schedules.
  • Monitor and advise on all local air and ground travel restrictions and delays, and proactively coordinate any necessary changes to mobile security mission schedules with the Mobile Security Manager and the deployed mobile security teams.
  • Coordinate all contractor motor pool requirements at each location.
  • Maintain daily records of all movements of personnel to include the location of movement, number of people, and program receiving motor pool support.


  • Must be able to manage workloads effectively including adapting to changes, planning, organizing and prioritizing work
  • Must be able to work effectively under stress and pressure
  • Must be able to work with a culturally diverse workforce
  • Regional experience/experience working in an austere setting
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and DELTEK


  • Education: Bachelor Degree in related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience: Knowledge of U.S. Government Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) preferred. Minimum of six (6) years of experience in Public Safety/Policy, Military or International Security Operations in Afghanistan preferred. Five (5) years of supervisory experience effectively managing a large, diverse team
  • Security Vetting: A Secret personnel security clearance issued by the Defense Security Service prior to contract performance is required. Must maintain eligibility at the required security level for the duration of the contract.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with all levels of employees and vendors.
  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
  • Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination
