GDIT is hiring for an exciting opportunity for a technical recruiter to work out of our Herndon, VA office. As a technical recruiter you will support a classified customer portfolio and recruit advanced Technical Engineering, Administration and Analysis talent within the cleared community. This position is Full Life Cycle recruiting and requires keen customer relationship skills in addition to the fundamental recruiting skills needed to build relationships with talent in the community.  The candidate must have strong time management skills, thoroughness, follow-through and dedication to full disclosure with hiring managers regarding technical candidates.  In this role, you will work as part of small teams within larger sectors and divisions. 



- Experience recruiting technical candidates in the TS/SCI space is require.  Polygraph recruiting desired.

- Relationship recruiting and candidate referral generation is required to be most effective in this role.

- Data Mining experience with multiple tools is require.  And experience with iCIMS/WorkDay talent platforms desired.




Typical Duties and Responsibilities:


1. Consults with hiring managers to activate and post requisitions that accurately reflect the duties, responsibilities, education, training, certifications, experience and security classifications required for the positions.


2. Sources, interviews, screens and evaluates external and internal candidates for job openings to identify applicants who fully meet the position requirements of posted requisitions and refers them to the hiring manager for consideration.


3. Coordinates and actively participates in the selection of the final candidates.


4. Makes employment recommendations based on information developed through prescreens, interviews, reference checks, applications, and resumes, insuring the compensation offer is competitive, internally equitable, and affordable.


5. Negotiates and extends offers on behalf of GDIT.


6. Completes or coordinates all on-boarding processes.


7. Ensures all phases of the recruiting process are conducted in accordance with General Dynamics and GDIT's Ethics, Legal and Human Resources policies.


8. Ensures that GDIT's internal applicant tracking system is maintained and completed; applicants are dispositioned according to OFCCP guidelines; internal candidates are dispositioned and contacted appropriately; and, interview reports are completed accurately.


9. Creates and places employment ads.


10. Runs queries of automated system and provides information to management as requested.


11. Coordinates and participates in job fairs.


12. Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all tasks.


13. Maintains a cooperative relationship with departments throughout GDIT and its clients to ensure that fair employment practices are followed


14. Serves as an internal consultant regarding staffing needs and projections, and advises on the best course of action to fill open positions.


15. May provide guidance and work leadership to less experienced Recruiters.


16. Participates in special projects as required
