Systems Engineer, Mid

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support of cyber security systems integration efforts on large task orders supporting multiple government agencies
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting COTS cyber security solutions within complex government agency operational and security environments
  • Supporting data and software integration efforts across multiple sensor, database, and analytic platforms
  • Coordinating with both ManTech and subcontractor resources spanning a range of disciplines from systems engineering and IT operations to testing and quality assurance
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for support and integration-related issues relating to the flow of data into, within, and out of the CDM solution for multiple agencies
  • Identifying areas for improvement and optimization within existing data interfaces and transport mechanisms as part of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conducting quality reviews for acceptance of new solutions into operations
  • Working with engineering team to generate root cause analyses, update tickets, and resolve problems and incidents
  • Creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Supporting and observing software testing activities
  • Developing methods and practices to deliver effective, efficient and professional operations support
  • Supporting and prioritizing advanced troubleshooting activities requested by Tier II staff, to include rapid installation and configuration of test systems to model customer environment.
  • Maintaining the infrastructure required for data extraction, ingest, transformation and loading of data from a variety of cyber security sensing platforms using SQL, Splunk, Informatica, Red Hat JBOSS FUSE, Pentaho, MarkLogic or other data integration platforms
  • Maintaining the availability, integrity and confidentiality of data across physical and logical solution boundaries in a multi-agency environment
  • Leading multi-organizational and matrixed technical resources and teams
  • Responsible for integration operations deliverables and work products associated with the task order
  • Participating in regular reviews with Service Engineering and Service transition
  • Coordinating with Agency’s local engineering resources and OEMs for replacement or upgrade of software and hardware tools.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience in systems integration, operations support, or implementation activities in a hands-on capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Excel
  • Experience integrating, installing, upgrading, configuring, developing data management and enterprise reporting platforms in a Governance, Risk management and Compliance (GRC) solution environment for critical infrastructure
  • Hands-on Windows 2012 or more recent Server administration experience
  • Hands-on IIS administration experience
  • Hands-on Active Directory and LDAP experience
  • Strong understanding and history of applying AGILE methodologies to teams and work stream
  • Intermediate experience and knowledge working with relational databases, understanding of Microsoft SQL, Oracle or similar
  • Experience optimizing, managing and maintaining data pipelines, architectures and data sets
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes
  • Experience with software development, integration with Object Oriented programming languages such as Java, Python and scripting experience with Power shell and/or bash
  • Exceptional customer focus and delivery mindset for action
  • Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-moving environments

Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DHS suitability.
  • Must be a US citizen.
