Insider Threat - Application Software Specialist

SAIC is seeking an Insider Threat Analyst to work with our customer in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO. Duties include but are not limited to:
 
  • Confer with SII system users, SII and NGA systems engineers, and other NGA organizations to design, develop and deliver software solutions.  Due to the sensitive nature of the program, collaboration with external sources, such as industry, education institutions, etc. is at the discretion of SII leadership. 
  • Develop data analytics software involving the application of proven industry standard data science principals, practices, and techniques in the effort to identify anomalous events and potential insider threats.
  • Maintain and develop the insider threat risk scoring and other data analytics tools for customers throughout SII and NGA to support insider threat detection application software and data analysis implementation and/or sustainment.  
  • Ensure development, specifications, and performance requirements of the User Activity Monitoring system on NGA networks is complete and customer problems are resolved to support insider threat detection application software and data analysis implementation and/or sustainment. 
  • Maintain policies, develop triggers, and complete functions necessary to make the SII User Activity Monitoring software application tool function to support insider threat detection application software and data analysis implementation and/or sustainment. 

Qualifications

  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required.  Willingness and ability to pass a CI polygraph is required.
  • Possess a minimum of: (1) eleven (11) years application software experience for senior position(s); or, (2) seven (7) years of software development experience for non-senior position(s).  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information science, management information science, or a math, science, engineering or other technical discipline, related technical certification, or equivalent experience within related field. 
  • Proficient in one or more of the following software platforms: R, Python, IBM SPSS Modeler, and/or Intelligence Community deployed user activity monitoring software. 
  • Have experience providing software development services for Insider Threat network, system, software, database systems, and/or data warehouse implementations.   
  • Ability to perform complex data mining tasks involving the application of proven data mining principals, practices, and techniques in the effort to identify anomalous events. 
  • Ability to utilize complex tools and mathematical algorithms to develop complex data analytics tools. 
  • Ability to implement statistical models and applying machine learning techniques and best practices. 
  • Advising stakeholders on advanced data mining and technical matters, research, and applications.
