Information System Security Manager / FSO - Opportunity for Growth!

Opportunity to perform ISSM/FSO responsibilities in Lafayette, CO. Responsibilities: Advise on industrial security matters & serve as POC for electronic security systems (intrusion detection/access controls). Work with various Gov’t agencies/Offices, provide security support to wide range of Gov’t contracts, & serve as POC for corp. security matters. ISSM prepares SSP for multiple-user stand-alone classified information processing, conducts training/system audits, & ensures Continuous Monitoring. Additional responsibilities: oversight & management of classified information systems, policies, & procedures. FSO, implements NISP, Program Classification Guides, & contract specs. Will perform personnel security, indoctrinations, document control, VRs, and security education & training.

ARA is seeking an individual to perform a variety of Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and Facility Security Officer (FSO) responsibilities for a small group at our Lafayette, CO location. You will work as the local ARA security authority supporting a small team of managers, engineers, and technicians. We have contracts with a wide base of customers with differing security needs.

Responsibilities include advising program managers (PMs) on industrial security matters and serving as point of contact for electronic security systems (intrusion detection and access controls). You will work closely with various Government agencies and Offices and provide security support to a wide range of Government contracts, and serves as the point of contact for all corporate security matters.

 

As ISSM you will prepare System Security Plans (SSPs) for authorization of multiple-user stand-alone classified information processing, conduct training and system audits, and ensure Continuous Monitoring. Additionally, your responsibilities will include oversight and management of classified information systems, policies, and procedures.

 

As FSO, you will implement the National Industrial Security Program, Program (NISP) Classification Guides, and contract specifications. Additionally, you will perform personnel security, indoctrinations, document control, visit requests, and security education and training. No prior FSO experience required.

ISSM Responsibilities:

  • Perform day–to-day security duties including security oversight, visit certs, document control, information systems management, etc.
  • Perform annual training, audits, personnel security, etc.
  • Oversee facility and equipment security upgrades.
  • Rely on your experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks.

ISSM Preferences:

  • Possess information technology skills needed for Assessment and Authorization of systems used for classified information processing.
  • Possess and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance.
