Information Assurance and System Administration - Germany

Job Description

CACI is seeking a cleared Information Assurance and System Administrator to provide system sustainment support of the Converged Infrastructure (CI) in support of Distributed Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (DPED) for the Operational Intelligence Ground Station in support of Force Protection operations CONUS and OCONUS who will provide Tier 2 sustainment to the CI capability at the Europe PED Service Center Wiesbaden, Germany.


What You’ll Get to Do:

This position requires experienced Information Assurance (IA) workforce that provides Converged Infrastructure System Administration, Cross Domain Systems Administration, and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) support. Candidates must be able to remain information assurance compliant, IAW AR 25-2 Chapter 3 and DoD 8570.01-M.  Candidate(s) will be able to perform the following functions.

System Administration: 24 x 7 system administrators with elevated privileges, to:

  • Recommend, schedule, and/or implement CI related repairs within the enclave environment.
  • Support actions to quickly resolve or mitigate IA problems for the enclave environment.
  • Support the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and software applications ensuring integration with IA security requirements for the enclave
  • Examine enclave vulnerabilities and determine actions to mitigate them
  • Implement applicable patches including IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA).
  • Coordinate and/or provide support for all enclave applications and operations
  • Recognize a potential security violation, take appropriate action to report the incident as required by regulation, and mitigate any adverse impact
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to CI systems and equipment.

Cross Domain System Administration: Provide cross domain system (CDS) administration with elevated privileges, to:

  • Recommend, schedule, and/or implement CDS related repairs within the enclave environment.
  • Implement CDS applicable patches including IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA).
  • Recognize a potential security violation, take appropriate action to report the incident as required by regulation, and mitigate any adverse impact
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to CDS systems and equipment.

Information System Security Officer: Perform the function of Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the CI system installed and operational at Wiesbaden, Germany.

  • Supervise or manage protective or corrective measures when an IA incident or vulnerability is discovered.
  • Ensure that IA security requirements are appropriately identified in computer environment operation procedures.
  • Ensure that IA and IA enabled software, hardware, and firmware comply with appropriate network environment security configuration guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Advise the Authorizing Official (AO) and CI System Owner (SO) of any changes affecting the network environment/enclave's IA posture.
  • Ensure IAT Levels I – III, IAM Levels I and II, and anyone with privileged access performing IA functions receive the necessary initial and sustaining IA training and certification(s) to carry out their IA duties.
  • Assist the supported IAM (INSCOM G7 IAM) in ensuring that a C&A package is prepared and maintained IAW DIACAP or RMF procedures.
  • Participate in monthly Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.


More About the Role:

  • Responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications. 
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity.
  • Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users.
  • Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. 
  • Supports new infrastructure projects. 
  • Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
  • Provide system sustainment support of the Converged Infrastructure (CI) in support of Distributed Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (DPED) for the Operational Intelligence Ground Station in support of Force Protection operations CONUS and OCONUS. Candidate(s) will provide Tier 2 sustainment to the CI capability at the Europe PED Service Center Wiesbaden, Germany.
  • This effort will provide onsite integration and engineering expertise in support of the DPED mission and ISR modernization to include information assurance (IA) support. They will also provide immediate resolution to system issues associated to the thin client hardware or software architecture on a 24/7 basis.


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Required to attend engineering related technical reviews, exercise support, field test, preoperational reviews, training material reviews, and budget reviews in support of CI and DPED. In addition, candidates must possess the necessary training and certification is in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M.
  • IA Level: IAT II.
  • IA Level: IAM I.
  • Candidate must possess the requisite Computing Environment Certifications (CE).  (Cisco, Microsoft, COMPTIA, LINUX, etc…).
