Industrial Engineer 2

Statement of Work / Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements plans that ensure the timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources enabling the achievement of program delivery and cost milestones.
  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods.
  • May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
  • Develops and summarizes analyses for the acquisition, maintenance & enhancement of capital assets and miscellaneous equipment.
  • Provides capacity planning, shop-loading and staffing analysis for functional production teams.
  • Analyzes existing operational processes and develops metrics and reporting to optimize and improve program & operational performance.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of Industrial Engineering experience; or Master's Degree with a minimum of 0 years of Industrial Engineering experience
  • Experience in using shop floor production systems (Solumina, MES, etc.)
  • Experience in using ERP systems such as SAP
  • Fluent in MS Project, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Candidate must currently have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the secret level with a background investigation date within the last 10 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD or Visio software
  • Report programming experience (SQL, Crystal, MS Query, Bus. Objects, etc.)
  • Space Technology Experience
  • Documented experience working in a robust IPT environment
