Human Resources Generalist

As a member of Raytheon's Global Business Development HR team this role is responsible for leading and executing the annual cyclical and critical HR processes and programs. This is a dynamic, fast- paced, executive office with offices located in Rosslyn, VA and globally.

The HR Generalist will focus both on Domestic and International HR needs and priorities and having responsibility for special projects impacting the entire Global Business Development organization:
  • The Generalist will work to resolve employee issues, provide coaching where necessary and ensure consistent application of HR policies.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently to identify issues and solutions.
  • The successful candidate will be extremely detail oriented, comfortable working with undefined policies and procedures especially related to international HR issues
  • The incumbent will be the point of contact for Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Payroll, Timekeeping and Performance Development.
  • Work across the RTN enterprise and matrix to bring key resources to support needs of the business.
  • The position is located in Rosslyn, VA.

Key responsibilities:
  • Execution of HR processes to include Talent Acquisition (hiring), Compensation (ratings, performance rating, equity analysis), Performance Management, Talent Development
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, HR Operations Center, International Assignment Services teams and functional centers of excellence (Diversity & Inclusion, Global Talent Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Global Business Services and Security) to provide high-impact HR solutions, and serve as a trusted advisor to front and mid-level leaders and employees.
  • Support the hiring and coordinate with businesses on execution of standard hiring processes and the deployment and local hiring in-country; country salary grade/job analysis utilizing market analytics
  • Support development of and revisions to international HR policies and procedures and employment agreements
  • Work with Global Business Services (GBS) on creating effective processes and standardization for international employment activities
  • Support RII ex-pat deployment and repatriation activities in partnership with International Assignment Services {IAS}
  • Lead international payroll partnership with Global Payroll provider
  • Act as liaison to business counterparts for international BD HR policies and procedures and talent movement across the enterprise
  • Partner with HR Business Partner on a variety of International HR and BD initiatives and projects; acts as stand in when necessary on client group meetings and activities

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience consisting of coaching and advising management and employees on organizational change, employee development, performance management, organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits and employee relations
  • Excellent team building skills, self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the enterprise with other HR and functional teams
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the HR strategic partnership in driving business results
  • Excellent project planning skills, ability to prioritize deadlines, drive results and close on actions and projects
  • Creative problem solver with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Solid HR fundamentals and broad-based experience in HR, including employee relations and knowledge and understanding of EEO laws, Affirmative Action Plans and conflict resolution
  • Strong communication skills to include verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Demonstrated courage to appropriately push back in the Company's best interest and to meet compliance requirements
  • Ability to influence, advocate and lead change
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment, labor and compliance requirements; ability to partner with legal to understand specific country requirements
  • Must be able to work with all levels of the organization and handle high levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a geographically dispersed environment

  • International HR experience and county laws and knowledge

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Related field

Desired Education:
Master's Degree in Human Resources, or MBA with focus in Human Resources or a related field

Security Clearance:
Ability to obtain a secret clearance
