Responsibilities

The Maintenance Foreman in the Heavy Equipment Operator group will provide leadership for the Equipment Operators and Heavy Equipment Operators to execute work within nuclear and non-nuclear facilities at MFC. The Foremen is responsible to deliver timely, high quality products and services, ensuring facility availability/functionality to meet MFC mission objectives. The Foreman will establish and clearly communicate expectations and standards to staff members focused on effectiveness, efficiency, quality, safety, and improvements for the organization. The foreman will communicate directly with the customers and work groups they are supporting and interface with in a timely manner, ensuring status, delays and completion of activities are understood.

The Foremen is responsible for effective and safe operations of equipment such as mobile cranes, loaders, graders, mobile gantry cranes, forklifts, bucket trucks, plows, dump trucks, etc. Proficiency is required for hoisting and rigging techniques, mobile crane operations, and material handling techniques.

The Foremen will support and implement INL and MFC Nuclear Safety Principles, Integrated Safety Management System (identify scope, hazard, mitigation, controls, and feedback) Human Performance Tools, and Just Culture Principles.


Requirements:

Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) "L" security clearance

Proven leadership and 8 years of experience in Hoisting and Rigging standard and complex loads, Material Handling activities, Mobile Crane Operations, and implementation of DOE-STD-1090 Hoisting and Rigging or similar (e.g. OSHA 1910/1926) principles.

INL Maintenance Job Supervisor/Foreman Qualification Checklist (form 36l.98B) within 6 months of hire.

MFC Maintenance Foreman Qualification Checklist within 12 months of hire date

Minimum of Radiological Worker I qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators Certification (NCCCO)

Hoisting and Rigging Certification

Bachelor's Degree in a technical field

Experience working with Collective Bargaining Agreements
