HAWK Equipment Field Maintenance Technician Sr Field Engineer I

The HAWK Equipment Field Maintenance Technician supports the HAWK and Patriot Logistics Sustainment Services (HPLSS) Program and provides HAWK Major End Item guidance and training to team members and customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action. Responsible for the sustainment, test and checkout of the HAWK Major End Items, assemblies and subassemblies. Functionally verifies that the Major End Items perform to specified standards. Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation. Devises and implements preventive maintenance programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment. This position is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and may require frequent travel within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and assignments away from home base.

Must be able to obtain a Saudi Arabia work Visa

Required Skills:

Hands on depot level experience in the operation and sustainment of the HAWK Phase III Radar System. Trained and experienced in the operation, maintenance and sustainment procedures, of all the HAWK Missile System Major End Items assemblies and subassemblies. Demonstrated knowledge with the operational/analytical software used on the HAWK radar systems, such as Status Monitor and Radar Diagnostics. Experienced in using HAWK major end item troubleshooting software aids such as Status Monitor and Radar Diagnostics. Ability to distinguish between digital and analog problems. Knowledge in the utilization, calibration and repair of Field Maintenance Equipment (FME), Dimensional Test Equipment (DTE) and Computer Controlled Test Equipment. Experienced in operating and Maintaining the High Frequency Console (HFC). Knowledge in the utilization of common industry external test equipment, such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, spectrum and digital analyzers. Experience using the basic MS Office suite of tools. Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts and principles.

Must have successfully completed a HAWK Maintenance Mechanic or Repair Course conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army or equivalent courses of instruction conducted by the HAWK system contractor.

Must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair of HAWK systems. Proficient in cable repair, soldering, splicing, and wire wrap. Knowledge in reading and understanding engineering documentation, and electronic circuit schematics. Possess a general knowledge of maintenance shop operations and procedures.

Desired Skills:

Experienced electronic technician with military training in HAWK Phase III Air Defense systems or equivalent Contractor Logistic School (CLS) training. Middle East customer interface experience and extensive overseas experience.

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
