Key Role:
Design and develop complex graphics and illustrations for use in technical materials, manuals, and publications. Operate computer hardware and software to prepare, revise, print, and store text, illustrations, graphs, and charts. Formulate concept and render illustration and detail from models, sketches, memory, written or oral instructions, and imagination. Select type, draw lettering, lay out material, or perform equivalent duties. Determine the style, technique, and medium best suited to produce preferred effects, conform with reproduction requirements, or follow specific instructions regarding these variables. Provide work leadership to junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with graphics design
-Knowledge of industry standard graphics design software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
-Knowledge of production process
-Ability to apply complex graphics design principles, theories, and practices
-Ability to create conceptual designs for Web pages and other electronic media
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
Additional Qualifications:
-Knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript
-BA or BS degree in Graphics Arts, Web Design, Fine Arts, or Communications Arts
