PNT Engineer, Lead

The Challenge:

Serve as a lead engineer and subject matter expert for GPS, Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), and communications engineering responsible for providing Radio Frequency (RF) hardware design, fabrication, integration, and testing as well as modeling, simulation, analysis, integration, and test support for products. Assemble and author documents, requirements, and recommendations for DoD NAVWAR capabilities and user assessments. Research, design, test, and analyze RF environments and perform hardware-in-the-loop testing by integrating hardware and assets with software tools. Develop the methodology, framework, and articulation test results, innovation concepts, or modernization approaches. Perform risk assessments of GPS and PNT systems and generate risk mitigation plans and strategies. Lead multiple highly complex and dynamic efforts focusing on hardware and software innovation and while providing team direction and oversight. 

This project will help enable the Army to transition to the next version of GPS RF signal technology, specific to munition domain and form factors. You as an experienced engineer will be part of a larger team focused on the challenges of size, weight, and power constraints of enabling secure GPS capabilities coupled with multi-Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and alternative sources of input into very small and complex form factors. You will work directly for an Army client while synchronizing you efforts across the larger firm initiatives. You Have:

-Experience as a GPS or PNT engineer or with wireless communication

-Experience with modeling and simulation, including MATLAB, Python, or C++

-Experience with GNSS and multi-constellation analysis and engineering

-Knowledge of DoD engineering and acquisition processes

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree

Nice If You Have:

-Experience as a GPS or PNT engineer in GNSS, inertial navigation, or NAVWAR preferred

-Experience as a GPS receiver hardware designer

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent leadership and analytical skills

-TS/SCI clearance

-MS degree in EE or related field, including Aerospace Engineering
