Global Security Services Business Intelligence Analyst

If the answer is yes, Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) has an exciting opportunity for you in the Global Security Services Business Intelligence Analyst position.

This position is part of the RMS Global Security Services (GSS) Counterintelligence & Investigations organization charged with providing functional business intelligence support to all global security disciplines. The Global Security Business Intelligence Analyst is a key member of a team that delivers strategic data and predictive analytics to business leaders to help identify and convey (i.e. visualize) global security risks and threats to our business. This will require working with each GSS discipline in implementing and maintaining the framework for overall global security data analytics and business intelligence.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Identifying, monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating information
  2. Notifying decision makers and global security disciplines about events and incidents from various business tools and sources that could impact Raytheon
  3. Conduct advanced analysis utilizing visualization tools, network theory and data science analysis of security data to predict threats and vulnerabilities
  4. Develop processes, procedures, and notifications to mitigate security risk
  5. Manages various analytical tools and information systems to identify and follow trends, and provides actionable intelligence to key business leaders
  6. Build and study historical data models, research trends, and analyze effects of decisions or events to evaluate security performance

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Required Experience, Skills & Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, data sciences, statistics, math or similar discipline is required
  • A minimum of 4 years of Data Analysis, Data Science and/or Business Intelligence experience is required
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Strong experience with reporting and visualization software, specifically in Tableau or Power BI
  • Relational database experience SQL, or R, or Python
  • Experience with database management systems, data warehousing, query language, Self Service BI tools
  • Broad understanding of IT, business processes, and business intelligence methodology
  • Proficiency across multiple devices and platforms to include database user interfaces and query software
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Experience, Skills & Education:
  • Masters’ degree in business analytics, data sciences, math, statistics and/or business intelligence
  • 6+ years of Data Analysis, Data Science, Business Intelligence experience
  • Knowledge and use of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks) and their real-world advantages/disadvantages
  • Knowledge and use of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage) and experience with applications
  • The ability to work effectively with people in various functions, programs, and business concentrations
  • Experience building data analytic procedures and processes
  • Presentation and leadership briefing skills
  • Knowledge of Global Security, Business Continuity, and Business Risk Management

Security Clearance Requirements:
This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Secret security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
