  • SAIC is seeking a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst II/Instructor in St. Louis, MO.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver in- resident and distance learning instructional programs in accordance with course requirements.
  • Use instructional methods such as guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories.
  • Use instructional technology, including but not limited to blackboard.
  • Conduct assessment strategy in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, and grading.
  • Provide formal and informal student feedback.
  • Provide subject matter expertise throughout the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff.
  • The selected candidate will support the Client's Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Tradecraft Learning Contract (GTLC) as an Analyst/SME and Instructor by providing innovative mission-essential training, education, and professional development services to enable the United States to achieve its global GEOINT mission.
  • This contract is also designed to transform GEOINT tradecraft using state of the art geospatial technology, tools, and processes to provide warfighters on the ground and decision makers at the highest levels of government with the information they need to maintain decision advantage over our adversaries.
  • The relevance of Client will depend upon the work our SME’s and instructors perform to modernize analytical training and develop the next generation of Client analysis.
  • Support Program Manager as Analyst and Subject Matter Expert instructing GEOINT professionals within the Client, the Intelligence Community (IC), and other stakeholders.
  • Support Program Manager as Analyst and SME assisting the instructional design of GEOINT related learning solutions in interpreting and analyzing geospatial data.
  • Support Program Manager as Instructor delivering courses relating to interpreting and analyzing geospatial data.
  • Support Program Manager in the individual and team efforts in the refinement and modification of existing course curriculum materials.
  • Support Program Manager in the individual and team efforts in the development and refinement of training delivery methods and technical approach to include live, virtual, and computer based delivery.
  • The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst II/Core Instructor will work in conjunction with the Program Manager to identify, plan, and schedule the training objectives and collaborate with the customer training team on the specific duties and responsibilities for each of the milestones established in order to meet those outlined objectives.
  • Frequent use and application of industry practices, techniques, and standards and general application of concepts and principles will apply.
  • The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst II/Core Instructor will participate in the development of solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity guided often by policies, procedures and best practices.
  • The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst II/Core Instructor will work under general direction on routine work and may receive detailed instructions on new projects or assignments, following established procedures.
  • Work is reviewed for soundness of judgement, overall adequacy and accuracy.
  • The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst II/Core Instructor represents the organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects and interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

 

  • No degree and 5 years’ related experience identified in Base Criteria.
  • Desired Bachelor degree in one of the following; Foreign Area Studies, Geography, History, International Affairs, Military Science, Political Science, Human Geography, or a related discipline plus 2 years of related experience identified in Base Criteria.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of instructional related experience identified in Base Criteria.
  • Base Criteria (Analyst/SME):
  • Possess documented experience within the last 36 months analyzing and interpreting GEOINT data to support U.S. military and policymaker’s interest.
  • The Analyst must have the ability to combine an understanding of geospatial data and imagery analysis, often supplemented by image science, analytic methods, data science, opens source research and human geography to characterize events discover relationships and trends and produce GEOINT or similar.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the national imagery exploitation processes, policies, and production cycles and the principles and applications of geographic information systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the breadth of the GEOINT products and service that Client produces.
  • Documented experience with GEOINT Tools, product creation, and mission support.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: Human Geography, Activity Based Intelligence, Critical Thinking, GEOINT writing, and Foundation GEOINT
