  • TheGeospatial Analyst – Journeymantranslates GEOINT requirements into appropriate requests for GEOINT databasesand applies special techniques to extract additional intelligence fromgeospatial products.

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Analyzegeospatial data and develop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products

  • Identify,analyze, order, and assemble source materials for a government customer

  • Createcustom geospatial graphics

  • Analyzenumerous imagery sources to include NTM, DPPDB

  • Utilizemultiple GIS systems and tools

  • Utilizea multi-INT approach to research various sources

  • Maintainlogs of all work accomplishments

  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • HighSchool Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a field related to thesupport services may count for up to four years of experience. Experience toinclude:

    • Digitalcartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical informationsystems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, andphotogrammetry

    • ArcGIS,ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC)system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, RemoteView, ERDAS IMAGINE, MRSID,VB/VBA (or some other object-oriented programming/scripting language), Oracleand other appropriate software to analyze geospatial data

  • Experienceof 3+ years

  • TS/SCIClearance required

  • Mustbe able to work 2nd shift

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Demonstrateknowledge of Geospatial boundaries

  • Abilityto work 2nd shift

  • DemonstrateMS Word, PowerPoint, database entry and graphic design principles skills

  • Expertisein photogrammetry, remote sensing, image processing, or regional expertise isalso desirable

  • Demonstrateknowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes and sensors

  • Demonstratecustomer support skills

  • Demonstrateunderstanding of intelligence issues, military affairs, and use GeospatialInformation Systems (GIS)

  • Abilityto read and understand intelligence issues, military affairs, and use GIS todevelop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products to solve problems

    Musthave the ability to work shift work as required

  • The employee will normally work ina temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure toelectronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas ofoperations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborneparticles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
