Geospatial Analyst Journeyman

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Geospatial Intelligence Analysts exploit imagery, imagery products (including Advanced Geospatial Intelligence) and geographic products and data to create intelligence solutions for the Warfighter and senior government officials.
 
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Serve as an intelligence specialist and leverage a background in geospatial analysis. Read and comprehend intelligence issues and military affairs and use geographic information systems (GIS) to develop geospatial intelligence reports and products to solve problems. Demonstrate knowledge working with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, database entry, and graphics design principles expertise. Employ knowledge and expertise with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, GIS software, geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry. Apply knowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes, and sensors and demonstrate customer support expertise.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS:
3-10 years of experience with intelligence, geospatial intelligence, reading and comprehending intelligence issues and military affairs, or using GIS to develop geospatial intelligence reports
-Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, database entry, and graphics design principles
-Experience with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, GIS software, geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry
-Experience with ArcGIS
-TS/SCI clearance
-HS diploma or GED
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and three to ten years of related experience.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required. May spend a lot of time standing due to laboratory conditions.
