Functional Analyst

Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is seeking a Functional Analyst who will sit in our Charleston, SC office.  Under general supervision, the Functional Analyst will interact with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.  The Functional Analyst will participate in the development of test strategies and solving system analysis problems (or managing the solution of system analysis problems) in the functional area to which assigned.

More About the Role:

• Interface with business owners to understand their needs

• Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, user stories, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis

• Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests

• Proactively communicate and collaborate with technical team and business owners to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver an effective solution

• Develop and document enterprise wide requirements and translate them into user stories

• Facilitate discussions between customers, stakeholders, developers, and testers to elicit and refine requirements

• Elicit, elaborate, and generate user stories, define success measures, and develop test cases and scenarios

• Facilitate Backlog Grooming and other Agile ceremonies

• Work with Product Owner to prioritize the Product Backlog for selection for Sprint Backlog

• Assist QA with internal test preparation by creating test cases, test conditions, and test data

• Assist QA with internal test execution, inclusive of documenting results, tracking defects, and trouble-shooting defects and issues that arise out of testing

• Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality

• Collects and analyzed project metrics

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • BS degree in (Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems or Computer Science) and three (3) years experience or equivalent
  • Public Trust Clearance must be obtainable.
