The FrontEnd Web Developer will develop modern, dynamic, and interactive native and webapplications, websites, and web-based analytic tools that enable our customersto productively interact with their data. The Front End Web Developer should be familiar with all layers of the full web stack includinghosting environments, data layers, web servers, business logic layers, API andMVC layers, and UI/UX layers.

Duties andResponsibilities:

  • Work with teams of creativedesigners, strategists, and engineers to develop innovative and modern websolutions.
  • Responsiblefor the development of major and minor native and web applications andsolutions.
  • Develophighly interactive, multimedia rich applications that engage users, support strategicand analytic problem solving, complex data visualization, and interactivetraining.
  • Develop,test, and deliver websites, applications and components to ensure projectcompletion.
  • Willwork within an Agile Lifecycle Methodology to plan, estimate, design, develop,test, and deploy capabilities.
  • Integratemultimedia assets into projects.
  • Helpdevelop and follow practices in development standards, design patterns, andtesting standards.
  • Driveinnovation within currently assigned projects.
  • Continuallyseek understanding about the intersection between business, user experience, workflow,and technology.
  • Create and maintain product backlog in JIRA, VSTS, or similar
  • Participate in estimating the product backlog items
  • Proactivelyand objectively communicate project status, concerns, and risks to team,leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Otherduties as assigned

MinimumQualifications: (Toperform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.)

  • A bachelor’s degree and six (6)plus years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience indeveloping accessible websites (508 compliance).
  • Hands-on experience developing custom UI components and directives
  • Hands-on experience converting UX/VD into HTML
  • Experienced with responsive web design
  • Experienced with object-oriented design and implementation
  • Experienced in developing and consuming web services (SOAP/REST)
  • Experienced working with Agile Scrum methodology and VSTS
  • Active TS/SCI w/ FS Polygraph clearance required

Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities:

  • Ability to meet security clearance requirements
  • Work in an agile software development team, incrementally developing working software
  • Understand and model business requirements while respecting the existing architecture and systems.
  • Demonstratedability to perform full system testing.
  • Abilityto work as part of a highly skilled, multi-faceted agile team including otherdevelopers, designers, and management with a proclivity for team-orientedpractices.
  • The ability to analyze functional problems and to choose the most appropriate solution
  • Technical skills: AngularJS, jQuery, Electron, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, GitHub, AJAX, REST API, HTML, ES6 (JavaScript), React, Redux, Typescript, npm/yarn, and Apache Tomcat
  • Knowledgeable skills with OS/Software/apps: Linux/Centos 7, Atlassian Suite (JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket), Chrome/Firefox and browser developer tools
  • Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Documentation skills to translate requirements into specifications for program objects, functions and systems.
  • Require the skills to train, mentor and share knowledge in both individual and group settings
  • Can demonstrate team working skills bridging design, presentation and core technical skills
  • Understanding of security standards and current knowledge of privacy by design
  • Preferred but not necessary: Webpack, React Storybook, Jest (testing), 3rd party JavaScript libraries such as Leaflet.js, DHTMLX Gantt, rc-tree, JSS, and Jenkins
