Primary Purpose:

LGS Innovations, a leader in solving the most complex networking and communications challenges, is seeking a Web Application Engineer III – GUI for our Westminster, CO location.

Under limited supervision, will research, design, engineer and deliver complex web application interfaces to control custom embedded systems. User interfaces should provide an exceptional user experience and reliably perform on a variety of platforms and browsers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Operate effectively and comfortably in a team environment as a team member and team leader
Develop web applications that enable end-users to command and control lower level system applications
Develop simple, intuitive user interfaces that govern complex customer solutions
Knowledge of information architecture with attentiveness towards data management and organization supportive of system efficiency without compromising user experience
Test associated web applications and user interface, providing customer support as needed
Interact with product development teams, project managers, vendors and customers
Proactively manage work including meeting schedules, identifying risks and delivering high quality software
Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level required to perform the duties of the position
Skills and Knowledge:

Demonstrated experience using modern web technologies
ECMAScript 2015
Web Components
Progressive Web Apps
Demonstrated experience with mobile web and responsive design
Experience using package management systems (npm, yarn, etc)
Experience building data-driven web applications
Experience with RESTful API structure
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 4 - 6 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience
Preferred Qualifications: N8:N9
Other Preferred Skills:

Ability to work under minimal supervision and flexibility to adapt to change
Experience implementing Material Design using the Polymer Project
Event-based architectures
Experience optimizing web applications for limited resource systems
Knowledge of MongoDB and the optimization of data structures for write intensive systems
Experience administering Linux systems
Demonstrated ability to scale systems for large scale deployments
Experience with cloud architecture
Ability to remotely troubleshoot deployed systems
Mobile development experience with Android or iOS.
Expertise with layout and design
Familiarity of cellular communications (e.g. GSM, UMTS, LTE) and embedded application development
Open source experience, both contributing to and managing open source projects
Demonstrated experience with UX/UI patterns and best practices
Experience with cross-browser testing and progressive enhancement
Knowledge of databases, both relational and non-relational
Linux command line experience

There is no clearance requirement to begin employment. However, as a requirement of continued employment in this position you will be required to obtain a Secret clearance.
