Work Description:

As a, full-time Finance Analyst, a typical day might include the following:

  • Perform a range of routine to moderately complex financial analysis to include reviewing financial data, analyzing reports and other agreements for data integrity, and assisting with budget data submissions.
  • Provides technical assistance to customers to solve routine-to-moderately-complex financial issues.
  • Performs a full range of financial activities to support management, staff, and customers within area of assignment.
  • Work may also include participating in budget formulation and execution processes within the area of assignment, ensuring proper and accurate execution and monitoring of the budget, and assisting in budget formulation activities.


Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional financial experience.
  • Has a strong understanding of the responsibilities associated with the execution of financial operations that includes financial management, accounting, auditing, and/or fiscal control.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written.
  • Experience and capabilities using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities.
  • Ability to interact with customers effectively in resolving routine problems.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or in a Business discipline with significant course work in financial management, accounting, and/or auditing.
  • Relevant work experience to garner the knowledge and experience about GAAP, FASAB and other budgeting and accounting principles and practices will be considered as a substitute for the Bachelor degree when in conjunction with significant coursework in accounting, cost accounting, and/or managerial accounting.
