The Leidos Defense Group currently has an immediate career opportunity for a Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility (RF-ITV) Field Service Engineer (FSE) Team Lead to work in Al Udeid Air Base, QATAR.

With responsibility and travel to various locations within the Central Command (CENTCOM) area of operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your Information Technology experience helping the Radio Frequency In-Transit Visibility (RF-ITV III) Program.
In this mission, we support the US Army’s Program Executive Office Enterprise Information System (PEO EIS) Automated Movement and Identification Solutions (AMIS) program in maintaining and expanding the technological infrastructure, the largest in the world, which provides in-transit tracking of military cargo as it moves through the Defense Transportation System (DTS).

Primary Responsibilities:
Duties will include: Performance of site surveys by gathering RFID business process information, photos, diagrams; Installation, upgrade and/or replacement of RFID hardware and software to include Field Data Units (FDUs), fixed interrogators, modems, Radio Frequency Relays (RFRs) and various versions of RFID Read and Write software.

Monitor and maintain an Operational Readiness Rate (OR) at 95% or above for active FDU and interrogator configurations on a daily basis; Use of tools such as the In-Transit Visibility (ITV) Servers, Integrated Support System (ISS) and the daily ITV reports; Support calls and emails relating to RFID field issues; Troubleshoot FDU computers and RFID hardware/software problems as well as communications issues, which include LAN/WAN, phone line and Iridium; Ensure applicable Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) security patches are implemented and documented; Secure and account for government furnished equipment; configure FDUs with a standard baseline that includes an operating system, application software, hardware and appropriate security programs.
Perform site maintenance visits.
Use remote management software to remotely manage and resolve system issues, visit the site if remote efforts fail.
Provide training on RFID hardware and software to soldiers and civilians when necessary.
Provide RFID support for military exercise when necessary.
Beta Test RFID equipment and software.
Provide technical input, when necessary, to the monthly newsletter.

Requires expert knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, or additional relevant experience in lieu of Bachelors', or
Masters degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
Must be US Citizen.
Active Secret Clearance prior to start.
Current driver’s license and ability to drive continuously for up to four hours.
Must be able to climb a ladder and/or ascend at least 25 feet in a lift (bucket) truck.
Possess expert computer skills and knowledge such as operating and troubleshooting hardware and software.
Must possess at least a DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II (such as CompTIA Security+ CE) certification.
Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Remote Management Software, Windows 10 and Antivirus Software.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience installing, upgrading and/or replacing RFID hardware and software to include Field Data Units (FDUs), fixed interrogators, modems, Radio Frequency Relays (RFRs) and various versions of RFID Read and Write software. Familiarity with TIPS Read/Write and Savi SmartChain Site Manager software. Familiarity with the Serena Business Manager software.
