Field Hardware Repair/Support Technician - Senior

Description:


Candidate will maintain and service critical on-site hardware, storage and network platforms in a 24/7 shift worker environment at a customer site in Aurora CO. Successful candidate will be required to travel TDY to remote customer site in Harrogate England at least 50%, but no more than 75% of the time.


Candidate will be required to work a rotating shift providing tier 2 and 3 hardware and firmware technical support services. Candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and test computer workstations, servers and peripherals. Work includes installation, moves, removal and sanitation of monitors, workstations, printers, servers, storage devices and network devices.


Candidate will provide more complex support for issues that are not resolved at initial response support level according to established procedures. This support includes the detailed tracking of incident/service request from receipt through closure using a COTS Ticket Tracking System, including consumed parts.



Qualifications

Requires:         

·        Minimum 3 years’ experience.

·        Associate’s degree or vocational certificate, experience considered in lieu of degree.

·        Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

·        Good communication skills; shows tact effective listening skills and follow through.

·        Proficient Field Technical Support skillset.

·        Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work.

·        Knowledge of high availability system environments.

·        Basic knowledge of change management process.

·        Participate in on-site account support meetings both internal and external.

         Certification- Current DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

         Lifting- Must be able to lift heavy materials (50+pounds).

        ' Clearance-TS/SCI with Poly.'


Travel:  50% to Harrogate, UK


Preference given to candidates with:

·        CompTIA A+ or similar certification.

·        Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science related field.

·        Experience with support of full range of HPE hardware system platforms.

·        Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word& PowerPoint) proficiency.
