FADE EDGE Lab Director (~25% Profit Sharing)

Job Description

The Fusion Analysis and Development Effort (FADE) team is looking to hire a dynamic leader to manage the newly formed EDGE Lab. The EDGE lab develops and deploys our state-of-the-art intelligence and situational awareness software onto field-deployable hardware platforms that allows operators to utilize our cloud-based platform in disconnected environments. As our ideal candidate, you will have a strong engineering background and experience working with intelligence analysts and military operators. You will develop and lead a fast-paced team where your communication skills and problem-solving abilities are the keys to your success. More about your role as our Director of the EDGE Lab Product:

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Mission Engineers and Subject Matter Experts to develop and deliver field-deployable hardware and software solutions
  • Manage and lead a team of high-skilled, direct-reporting software developers, hardware engineers, systems administrators, and ops integrators
  • Define a product vision, road-map, and growth opportunities that anticipate the customers’ needs
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Lead product release schedule and set expectations for delivery of new functionally
  • Assert a proactive role in mitigating impediments that impact the team success in completion of delivery goals

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: 

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.  Must be able to obtain CI Polygraph.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering, computer science, or related field (or equivalent military experience) and minimum 10 years related work experience.
  • Experience with Agile development and methodologies
  • Experience leading team planning using Scrum or Kanban
  • Positive attitude, excellent communicator, and team player
  • Interfacing directly with customer, prioritizing requirements, developing and planning features roadmap for release cycles.
  • Demonstrate ownership of problems, issues, or requests from start to finish
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment within a distributed team environment

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and/or DoD processes, policies and guidance
  • Experience working with military and/or IC intelligence analysts
  • At least 3 years of experience as a product manager or product owner
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development life cycle
  • Experience in DevOps, software engineering, release engineering, and hardware deployment
  • Experience with test automation and continuous integration/continuous delivery

Not to mention BITS benefits are quite unique.  Basically, BITS benefits equate to 50% of salary on TOP of your base salary. The first part is a tax-qualified profit-sharing retirement plan to which BITS annually contributes up to 25% of your base salary (not in excess of applicable IRS limits) to your retirement account under the plan.
