F-16 Development Sr Program Manager

Job Description:
The F-16 Modular Mission Computer (MMC) Development Program Manager reports to the Director of Airborne Processors within Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS).

Airborne Processors has an immediate opportunity for a Sr Program Manager to lead a suite of F-16 Modular Mission Computer (MMC) Development programs, including MMC Singapore, MMC Korea, MMC USAF upgrade (MMCU), and 15-20 additional country programs totaling over $30M in annual sales for 2018 and projected growth of $142M over the next 5 years. These programs are enabling unique mission capabilities to a product baseline architecture started with the MMC Taiwan Program in 2012 and is now proliferating to an international refresh of the F-16 fleets. The MMCU represents a unique variant where Raytheon is the Prime to the U.S. Air Force, and is working with USAF to not only design, develop, test, and integrate Raytheon hardware, firmware, and SW; but, is also responsible for assisting the U.S. government in re-hosting the F-16 Operational Flight Program (OFP) onto the upgraded Raytheon mission computer.

This individual will be responsible for all F-16 MMC development programs including meeting financial, program management and customer requirements; as well as develop and implement a solid growth strategy to capture new business. This role must build and maintain strong customer relationships, both internal and external to Raytheon. This position will be responsible for improving program schedules to reduce impact to customer’s critical path while maintaining aggressive cost goals on FFP development programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance for both Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus Fixed Fee development programs with both Lockheed Martin and U.S. Air Force customers
  • Developing technical roadmap for mission processing opportunities within F-16 platform or other similar technologies and is responsible for new business capture and 5yr CAGR
  • Develops products on time to enable large growth projections on production programs (>$800M over next 5 years)
  • Leads development team through design, qualification, internal integration and test as well as supporting customer flight integration & test. Supports customer software integration.
  • Works closely with Sr. Manager of F-16 Production to ensure successful transition to production and general Raytheon F-16 program collaboration to support the overall F-16 product line

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 12 years of professional related working experience
  • Previous competitive win/capture experience
  • Experience collaborating across geographies and different business units
  • Strategic leadership experience with full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility of at least $50M
  • Proven successful experience growing a product line
  • High business acumen
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain access to US only data systems is required
  • Existing Secret clearance with the ability to obtain special access(es)
  • PM cert level 3

Desired Skills:
  • Background in leading programs with SW development using Agile development techniques
  • Experience in Business Development and/or Product Capture

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related degree

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons
