Job Description:

The Office of Government Affairs is seeking an Executive Assistant to support to the Senior Vice President (SVP) and assist the staff.  This is a visible position in a fast-paced environment that demands a high degree of professionalism, polish and diplomacy.  The candidate will perform a broad range of office management and administrative tasks in a high profile location, to include but not limited those below.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage SVP’s calendar/scheduling, preparing correspondence, coordinating meeting logistics, preparing expense reports and coordinating travel, managing office supplies, and other duties as assigned
  • Manage multiple and competing requirements with efficiency, attention to prioritization, detail orientation and execution
  • Prioritize and carry out special projects and complex assignments as needed, exercising frequent independent judgment, initiative and tact
  • Regularly interact with senior management and executive levels on matters concerning line organizations, customers and other outside entities
  • Occasional overtime may be required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma and 3-5 years of administrative support experience of an increasingly responsible nature at a senior level.
  • Prior Executive Assistant experience 
  • Must possess a positive, professional, and personable demeanor with an ability to interact and relate well with both external and internal contacts at all levels, up to and including Corporate Executives and Elected Officials
  • Requires flexibility to accept additional assignments as needed
  • Must be able to work effectively with key administrative personnel across Leidos
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound decision-making and prioritization ability, and attention to detail are critical
  • Must have excellent calendar management skills including the ability to coordinate complex executive meetings
  • Must have an advanced level of knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects simultaneously with a commitment to completion of projects on a timely basis
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills with an ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in a related field preferred; counts as 4 years of relevant experience with a degree
  • Familiarity with Leidos, government relations and/or government contracting industry
  • Experience with Concur travel management and expenses, Prism, and Workday
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust or Security Clearance if necessary
