Executive Assistant (Secret Clearance (VG00666)


SAIC has an opportunity for an Executive Assistant in a dynamic and fast-paced environment located in Downtown, DC

Position Description:

The Executive Assistant will provide executive level administrative services for the Program Manager of SAICs Vanguard 2.2.1 contract. The Executive Assistant should be able to handle executive level tasks, communications, calendar management and staffing with Senior Executive Service/Flag level executive teams. The candidate will be expected to handle routine tasks with very little or no assistance outside of the verbal or email requests received.  The successful candidate will effectively interact with a variety of senior professional staff at all levels and deal professionally with other staff members and the government customer. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision and guidance and as part of a team. 


Description of Duties: 

• Responsible for managing scheduling, coordination, and actions for SES/Flag level meetings.
• Prepare and staff SES/Flag level administrative items.
• Manage several monthly deliverable reports staffed to the program manager for approval.
• Coordinate/monitor internal and external tasks for the programs senior leaders.
• Review/Edit incoming and outgoing correspondence for accuracy, content and quality.
• Procuring low dollar purchases via the purchasing card supporting PMO activities.
• Manage office supplies, overhead items for the PM, and managing an SAIC purchase Card.
• Publisher of the Vanguard 2-2-1 Program Newsletter (Microsoft Publisher)
• Performing other tasks as assigned by Senior Staff members and the Security Office. 




Required Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree required or 7 years of related experience required without a degree.  

Required Experience/Skills/Attributes:

• Must show initiative, require minimal supervision, and be flexible with changing priorities
• Ability to work on multiple tasks, with changing deadlines, and priorities in an environment with frequent interruptions.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication, and problem solving skills.
• The ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills, professional demeanor, and flexibility are required.
• Being a team player within a larger PMO Team.
• Must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical skills.
• Candidate must have expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

• Must possess a desire to learn while working and ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.

Must have an ACTIVE Secret security clearance. 

Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes: 

Many documented years of Executive level experience at the SES/Flag level
