Executive Assistant – Space Systems Program Area

This position will be responsible for providing administrative support to multiple Program Managers and one Program Director on a program within Space Systems. This role will perform a wide range of administrative duties that will assist the Program Director and team in organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing their day to day activities. This position is responsible for collecting and consolidating inputs from multiple sources to prepare draft internal and external weekly and monthly reports published in Outlook, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. This position is responsible for coordinating travel and submitting travel expenses. This position also interfaces with internal and external customers, ensuring that all security procedures are followed. Other duties include planning morale functions and maintaining and publishing program area schedules and calendars. Additionally, this position will also authorize and maintain visitor requests, and escort personnel within the program area.

This position will also provide additional support across the Space Systems product line, should assistance be required by another administrative assistant, Program Area Director, or Vice President.

Basic Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • At least 8 years Administrative Assistant experience, with excellent customer service skills and intermediate to advanced skills in using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.), PowerPoint, email, calendar programs, and other software database and productivity tools.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with government customers.
  • Self-starter with ability to effectively function with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and must have sound judgment.
  • Must be reliable, organized, flexible and detail oriented. A team player.
  • Must-have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate high standard of professionalism
  • Ability to generate charts, tables, memoranda, reports, correspondence and other material with speed and accuracy.
  • Experience in managing a calendar, scheduling and coordinating meetings, arranging travel, creating expense reports for staff and being able to compile and prepare data reports.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • DoD TS/SCI with SSBI required.


Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D); some college, vocational courses (AA degree preferred)

Desired Education:
Bachelor’s degree

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
