Executive Assistant (Entry Level)

Job Description


  • Perform administrative duties to support the Health Care Fraud unit and complete special projects for the Chief of the Health Care Fraud and other management personnel.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including PCs, printers, photocopiers, scanners, telephone systems, fax machines, numbering and binding equipment, etc. 
  • Must be able to write and print clearly. Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills.  Attention to detail very important.
  • Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly (e.g. where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective).
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and ability to read and follow instructions very important. 
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage work for a number of people. 
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with DOJ components, Federal agencies, counsel and others as needed.
  • Research and compile data from a variety of reference sources, preparing substantive indices upon request; summarize articles, reports, etc.
  • Proofread material as needed for contextual, grammatical and formatting errors.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Deliver consistent high quality work product in a deadline driven environment under extreme pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; knowledge of cite checking, bluebooking and document/discovery management applications.
  • Familiarity with the Criminal Justice system
  • Persistent, diligent attitude towards work assignments.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends and holidays, often with little to no advance notice.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.00 GPA.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel (estimated 25% travel).
