Equipment Logistics Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Develop and implement logistics plans that may affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to enhance product flow. Provide analytical support for the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory, and analyze requirements to develop strategies to achieve preferred delivery times and order fill rates. Maintain appropriate records, prepare reports, and coordinate logistics activities with internal and external customers. Possess and apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization for the completion of difficult assignments. Work with minimum supervision, conferring with the superior on unusual matters. Perform assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity and use appreciable latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as an equipment specialist in the DoD

-Experience with the sustainment of USAF technical manuals developed in accordance with MIL-DTL 87929

-Experience with the Air Force equipment provisioning and cataloging process

-Ability to coordinate with Inventory Control Point (ICP) personnel at Air Force Depots, manage hardware changes to product baselines, and work with the D-220 Provisioning System

-Ability to redline manuals to address hardware and software changes to product baselines

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with the AFTO 22 process and researching and resolving AFTO-Form 22 comments

-Experience with the development of Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) and the proper use of Usable on Codes in the IPB

-Experience with the development of USAF Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) in accordance with MIL-DTL 38804

-Experience with MILSATCOM, Global Broadcast Service (GBS), and AN/TSR-11 preferred

-Experience with authoring and updating Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP) a plus

-Experience with ISO 9001 compliance processes preferred
