Responsibilities

Description:

The candidate will serve as a member of the Enterprise Technical Reference Architecture Team applying general Systems Integration and Systems Engineering knowledge and skills to support new initiatives in the customer’s GEOINT & IT Standards Division.

Project activities include:

(a) Developing a reference architecture for a technical standards framework to encapsulate GEOINT and IT standards to incorporate into technical profiles that can be consistently applied across the enterprise. This includes assisting developers and integrators in documenting “As Built” technical standard profiles and validating “As Built” profiles for accuracy. This will require monitoring various technical standard profiles for discrepancies and identifying required profile updates against Enterprise Standards Baseline releases.

(b) Support the building of other reference architectures that address development issues and gaps through a reference foundation of concepts, components, processes and their relationship for efficient solution development and implementation through repeatable technical positions and patterns.

(c) Support the customer with IC driven reference architecture activities working with agency and contractor SMEs to develop design patterns and implementation plans for specific technical focus areas that foster efforts to empower federation of data sharing across the IC.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • BS in Systems Engineering, Information Systems Technology or equivalent
  • 11+ years of demonstrated experience in applying Systems Integration and Systems Engineering concepts and practices at the System-of-Systems or Enterprise level of development
  • Experience working with technical standards and knowledge of DISR processes
  • Experience with complex system integration; especially, establishing and maintaining cross-boundary interoperability including DoD and IC information enterprise environment
  • Understanding the processes of technical profile development
  • Able to recommend changes in processes, guidance policies, and applicable standards as they relate to the architecture and design principles to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the agency
  • Must have experience working with one or more standard frameworks; UML, SySML, IDEF, BPMN, DODAF, JARM, TOGAF
  • Must be comfortable working in senor forums
  • Able to communicate with both strategic and technical communities
  • Ability to work independently or follow direction in a team environment.
  • Solid writing skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Awareness and use of key community reference models (e.g., JARM, FEA-CRM)
  • Experience with Technical Reference Architecture development
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture development
  • Familiarity with development of hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Cloud Computing Environments
  • Excellent facilitation, oral presentation, and writing skills and working with engineering documents
