Data Architect

Description

Our team supports the DOJ CTO office to identify, implement and support new and emerging enterprise technology solutions for DOJ business and mission owners across the agency.  We focus on automated litigation support solutions to the DOJ litigation community that engages multiple organizations and programs and requires a dynamic approach to practical IT solutions for the litigation mission area.

We advocate for the litigating Component’s requirements, both in the identification of new technology solutions and in delivery of enterprise services through identification, onboarding, oversight, and support of mature and new solutions. 

Our team leverages recent trends and innovative technologies to develop sand box capabilities to test new offerings, develop cloud implementation strategies and develop pilots, technology bake-offs and other activities to test IT solutions in a lab environment.

  • Responsible for data catalog ownership
  • Responsible for analysis and maintenance of integrated program/project schedules, risk and issue logs, and decision support
  • Responsible for briefings for senior executives, program stakeholders, and other key persons
  • Responsible for coordinating with vendors and other contractor teams responsible for delivery within the program on technical management, issue resolution, and service delivery
  • Responsible for supporting the strengthening of OCIO and CTO’s relationship with the program and/or mission community
  • Responsible for providing technical leadership as required by the Government Task Manager
  • Responsible for identification, definition, and mitigation of technical risks to the success of the program

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience. Four additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in working with and implementing federal data strategies and best practices
  • Understanding of federal data strategy initiatives and will be responsible for recommending data strategy implementation and best practices based on DOJ’s new data policy
  • Deep experience in NIEM implementation strategies
  • Experience in enterprise data management best practices and practical implementation on multiple engagements with federal customers
  • Experience in delivering Microsoft Office 365 (O365) as an enterprise shared service to federal customers and move to Azure Cloud
  • Experience supporting or leading a PMO for O365 delivery and other solutions for federal customers to include identity management provisioning, email deployment support
  • Experience in providing technical and operational issue resolution, oversight of the O365 implementation vendors, engagement with end users, and other services as required for enterprise collaboration services support
  • Experience in participating in customer data architecture working groups  to discuss data quality and input into data catalogs by leveraging best practices and prov
  • Candidates must be able to obtain a NACI Clearance
  • This position allows for 1 day per week telecommuting.
