Job Description

Implements, executes, and supports Tier II help desk standard operating procedures (SOP) to support DHS enterprise identity services applications. Coordinates with other segments of the Customer’s information systems support infrastructure. Executes in a timely, efficient manner to achieve contractual service level agreements (SLA.) With minimal supervision manages long-duration projects involving repeatable complex processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives Customer support requests, initiates service tickets, and assigns to appropriate support team, based on complexity and domain
  • Executes Tier II SOPs to deliver solutions within SLA-prescribed times
  • Monitors a variety of network health status and alerting systems; creates and escalates tickets to ensure continued enterprise health and security
  • Manages sustained Tier II O&M projects to support security
  • Assist with creating and maintaining elevated user accounts
  • Manage tickets for ticketing system and be able to open and close tickets in a prudent time and fashion

Shift Work.  This position supports a 24/7 help desk.  With preference given to a specific shift, worker will support aperiodic weekend duty, as well as flex to provide emergency coverage, as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and 3 years minimum of related experience.

Strong written and verbal communications skills: clear, concise, professional

Software: Strongly desired familiarity with MS Windows Server and MS Active Directory; desired experience with Domain Name Service and Active Directory Federation Services

Must be able to obtain DHS EOD suitability

Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance

ISB Engineer II Shifts are:

1st 0630 - 1500

2nd 1430 - 2300

3rd 2230 - 0700

WE1 0630am - 1900;  Mon/Tue 0630 - 1500

WE2 1830 - 0700;  Thur/Fri 1430 - 2300
