Position Summary

As a senior Electronic Systems Security Engineer, you will contribute your expertise to design, build, and test security systems in a lab environment for implementation into new and existing security infrastructures. You will participate in Engineering Quality Assurance and Quality Control peer reviews and constant capabilities development to ensure implementation of quality systems according to MC Dean’s and our clients highest standards. Systems include Physical and Logical Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Networking Monitoring, CCTV, and Perimeter Protection. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to:

  • Performing site surveys and data analysis, systems verification and validation testing including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Pre-Installation and Test Check-Out (PITCO), and System Operational Verification Tests (SOVT).
  • Develop Installation Design Plans (IDP) in AutoCAD and REVIT 2018 or later.
  • Ability to use SysML to facilitate Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) requirements.
  • Designing security system architecture for ACS, IDS, CCTV, LAN and WAN topologies for security systems including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Integrate security systems with VMWare, Windows, Unix operating systems using vendor Software Development Kits (SDK).
  • Providing engineering escalation support for project and operational environments as well as Certification and Accreditation of networks and platforms to DISA standards.
  • Identifying and resolving field device and system application and interoperability issues.
  • Assist in mentoring junior engineers.
  • Supporting proposal efforts by researching and recommending quality equipment, systems, and standards.

Minimal Position / Candidate Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to be granted a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math, or Computer Sciences.
  • 8(+) Years of ESS engineering experience.
  • Certifications (desired/advantageous)
    • A Combination of Vendor Certifications: Lenel, Milestone Video, Pelco, MDI, Verint, DMP, Honeywell Vindicator, Software House, Southwest Microwave, Axis.
    • DoD Approved Baseline IAT Certifications: Security+, Network+, CISSP
  • Experience using trade drawings e.g.: architectural, electrical, mechanical and civil to identify potential design and installation problems.
  • Requires an understanding and working knowledge of industry standards including sections of NEC, NFPA 101, ICD 705, NISPOM, Navy SIPH, DISA APL, etc.
  • Must have strong oral, written and presentation skills and a background working with multidisciplinary teams, solid time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.
  • Must have a valid passport and be prepared to relocate to Stuttgart, Germany.
