Eng Logistics Specialist II



The Raytheon facility located in Keyport, Washington is responsible for providing engineering and logistics support to the fleet as part of a joint government/contractor team. In their In-Service Engineering (ISE) role, our Keyport customer has been actively participating in the processes involved with resolving technical and supportability issues as well as integrating new technology solutions for a variety of naval platforms. We have been asked to provide integrated logistics professionals to support this ongoing effort.

Required Skills:
  • 2+ years of professional experience related to this job description
  • Working level knowledge of internet search engines and tailoring techniques to conduct research and locate part information, data, or vendors.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and ability to extract parts, special process, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Active Secret Clearance is required

Desired Qualifications:
  • Working level knowledge of ECP content and process, including data elements, verification cycles, post-approval configuration change management, and determination of material requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of Navy stock system and provisioning processes, including NAVICP functions, DLA functions, APL creation and maintenance, AEL creation and maintenance, Performance Based Logistics (PBL), asset management coding, and material release.
  • Working level knowledge of Microsoft office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Thorough understanding of ILS management philosophies, processes, and sponsor owned material tracking and reporting.
  • Thorough understanding of ILS plan development and maintenance
  • Ability to conduct in-depth technical analyses based on supply support, reliability, and maintainability related information collected, and develop recommendations to mitigate risk and improve system sustainment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working level knowledge of configuration status accounting, physical configuration audits, and configuration management as related to system accountability and traceability
  • Working level knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and it's relationship to equipment sustainability and life cycle support
  • Working level knowledge of obsolescence, Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS), and Non Developmental (NDI) management and risk mitigation
  • Working level knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance procedure development and maintenance
  • Practical experience with technical analyses to isolate equipment vulnerabilities in the areas of reliability, maintainability, availability, and supportability
  • Working level knowledge of reliability and maintainability analyses
  • Familiarity with NUWC processes, systems, and data repositories, including procurement, shipping, supply support, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with DoD and MIL-HDK guidance documents in the areas of system sustainment, independent logistics assessments, maintenance development, reliability program establishment, and acquisition.
  • Familiarity with tech manual development and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with system sustainment environment including requirements for ILS product development and fielding.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Required Education:
BS/BA in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math major. 8 years of professional experience related to this job description may be substituted in lieu of a BA/BS
